How PherDal is Transforming Women’s Health

Sterile, at-home insemination, substantially equivalent to IUI

Intrauterine insemination can be expensive and disappointing

Currently, 12 million women in the United States are facing challenges with conceiving, and are searching for alternative solutions to costly and invasive fertility treatments. On a global scale, one out of every six individuals will experience infertility during their lifetime, and one out of every five women will encounter difficulties with conceiving for a period exceeding one year.

Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is a procedure that treats infertility. IUI boosts the chances of pregnancy by placing specially prepared sperm directly in the uterus. Often, IUI is done as a first treatment for unexplained infertility. It’s much cheaper (but still expensive) and less invasive than the more well-known in vitro fertilization (IVF). Doctors will sometimes recommend trying IUI before other remedies like IVF. With those factors in mind, there’s an understandable appeal; unfortunately, IUI isn’t flawless.

IUI is usually less expensive than other fertility treatments (like IVF) but still costs about $300 to $1,000 without insurance. A few states have laws that say health insurance companies must cover some or all of the costs of infertility treatment if you meet certain requirements. But many insurance plans don’t offer any fertility treatment coverage at all.

Pherdal’s Solution

PherDal Fertility Science stands at the forefront of innovative reproductive healthcare, dedicated to transforming fertility assistance with groundbreaking and accessible solutions. Their flagship product, The PherDal Kit, is a patented, sterile, over-the-counter option, meticulously designed to empower individuals on their path to parenthood.

“Following my own personal diagnosis of unexplained infertility in 2017, I refused to accept expensive fertility treatment solutions for an unknown problem. Instead, I dove deep into the scientific literature and my background studying genomics. My husband, a mechanical engineer, and I invented the PherDal Kit, which successfully conceived our daughter with the second use. Our mission now is to provide access to a sterile, safe, at-home fertility option backed by science - for anyone struggling to conceive, single parents by choice and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.” - PherDal Founder and CEO Dr. Jennifer Hintzsche, Ph.D.

PherDal is the only FDA-cleared sterile at-home insemination kit. Intended for anyone struggling to conceive or who has chosen not to conceive through intercourse, PherDal's patented sterile technology delivers sperm directly to the opening of the cervix. The PherDal Kit bridges the gap between traditional conception and more invasive in-clinic options.
